Sophia's Top 9 Healthy Meals for Weight Loss

Jan 12, 2022

It’s an absolute priority to me to eat clean the majority of the time as I realized that diet plays a crucial role in staying in shape. And with my super busy schedule sometimes it's hard to add variety and keep things interesting ALL the time.  I love creating loads of delicious recipes with variety but it takes time and preparation.  So how do I keep up variety when I am really time-poor?

What I have been doing is reaching a middle ground of sorts to have 3 or so ‘go to’ meals for each of the meals during the week and then adding a bit more variety over the weekend. I find that this is still efficient with my super busy schedule yet avoids the monotony of eating the same thing day in day out.

Healthy meals, Sophia’s favorite options.

For breakfast here are my three best options.

Poached eggs on one piece of Ezekiel toast with spinach

Over Easy eggs with avocado and sweet potato

Veggie omelette

Eggs are the staple so I am always getting my good macros with the protein and fats but I am enjoying the eggs in different ways.

For lunch, I’ll stick to some chicken and switch out my salads.

Mexican salad with chicken

Arugula salad with nuts, cranberries, and goals cheese with chicken

Greek salad with feta cheese and olive with chicken

I’ve learned to pile my plate high with leafy greens that fill me up so that I am less inclined to snack on crackers, etc,  but are packed with so many nutrients.

For dinner, I’ll keep things light and opt for veggies (sometimes added with an egg or nuts or goat cheese) and enjoy them in a variety of ways.

 Grilled

 Steamed

 Stir fry, lightly sauteed

Healthy Tips.

Mapping out these healthy meals allows me to plan ahead and keep up the variety.  I know that I am always getting my macros and my dose of nutrition in each meal. Eating this way keeps me healthy, but it also keeps me slim.

I’d love to share some of these recipes with you. Many of them are in my membership https://www.sophiamcdermott.com/membership and my BBS program https://www.sophiamcdermott.com/bbs and e-books.

My health tips summed up are: Map out your few favorites for each meal, plan ahead, pile your plate high with loads of fresh veggies and add some healthy proteins and good fats, stop eating when you are feeling full, and drink loads of water.
